Because NREL no longer supports Legacy OpenStudio, Big Ladder Software has taken over maintenance, development, and support of the extension–now renamed as Euclid. Euclid builds on the Legacy OpenStudio extension originally developed by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL). Quick Links Open Source ProjectĮuclid is a free and open-source extension for SketchUp that makes it easy to create and modify the geometry inputs for building energy models. As an alternative, the “Pro” SketchUp option that requires a purchased desktop application license for 2018 or later will work with Euclid versions after 0.9.0. Starting in 2018, SketchUp’s free option became a web browser application that no longer works with extensions like Euclid. The listed SketchUp versions are for the years with a free option for the desktop application. NOTE: Each version of Euclid is meant to work with specific versions of EnergyPlus and SketchUp.
